How to Use Blogs

Got something to say? Share your ideas, opinions and "deep thoughts" with Blogs.

Blogs Overview

Just about everyone wants to be heard!  Peoplemovers has created Blogs to help people, organizations, businesses and governments share their thoughts and views on issues that are important to them and their communities.  In minutes, you can share your ideas and make an impact as you reach thousands of other leaders, organizations and communities.

How It Works
  1. From the “What’s Happening” Navigation Bar Link or from My Profile, click on “Blogs” and then “Add”.
  2. Choose the Community 2.0™ Website you belong to that you want this post to originate from in “Under” (only available when on Peoplemovers.com Community).
  3. Choose the level of privacy.  If you want this post to be broadcast across all communities that follow you, you must choose “Visible to All”.
  4. Choose the Community Topic (what’s this) that this Blog post most closely affects.
  5. Create a Title.
  6. Type or copy and paste the thoughts you want to share.
  7. Use the WYSIWYG (“What You See Is What You Get”) Editor if you want to have special font displays, additional web links or photos in your post.
  8. Click Save!

Tips for Use
  • Make sure you “Share” your Blog post to all of your friends and groups and “Broadcast Online” to your favorite social media sites.  This will increase your visibility and draw more people to your Community 2.0™ Website.
  • If you’re a leader (or want to become one), use Blogs to regularly share what your visions and goals are for your group, organization, business or community.  Encourage others to Comment freely to improve communication.
  • Become a valuable resource for your community by asking other leaders, organizations and businesses that are blogging to also post them on your Community 2.0 Website so more can benefit from them.
  • Ask other organizations with Community 2.0™ Websites to follow you so your posts can instantly reach their people and organizations.
